Enhancing the Academic Experience

BCThe management program encourages our students to take advantage of the many on-campus student organizations and study abroad opportunities offered through the School of business. Joining an on-campus organization like the Business Club, allows business students to meet one another, seek leadership positions, and network with experienced business faculty and community leaders.

DMDParticipation in the Business Club and Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society is strongly encouraged. Through these organizations, students ply their skills while working on organization sponsored projects and events that are designed for the purpose of helping those less fortunate in the local community.

Networking with the local business community is possible through these student organizations, by attending the Mexican American Business Institute (MABI), the Free Trade Alliance, World Affairs Council, and Chamber of Commerce events, key supporters of the HEBSBA Business Plan Competition. With over 90 sister schools, UIW provides students an eclectic array of options for doing study abroad. Students have had enriching study abroad experiences in a number of exciting countries including, China, Korea, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, the U.K., Korea, and Greece.
