Andy Waldhelm comes to the University of the Incarnate Word from Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he practiced as a physical therapist and completed his PhD in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University. Prior to LSU, Andy received his bachelor’s degree in education/health science from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and master’s degree in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Andy has been a practicing physical therapist for almost a decade specializing in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Furthermore, Andy is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through National Strength and Conditioning Association. He research interests include assessing core stability, preventing athletic injuries, and improving sports performance.
