Dr.McDougle has over 25 years of experience in higher education at both private and public institutions. In December 2010, she was appointed as Assistant Dean for Student Success with the School of Health Professions at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). In this role, she oversaw the Welcome Center and assisted students with ADA accommodations, scholarships and financial aid, tutoring, student grievance issues, and leadership opportunities. Previously she had served as the director of student life at UTHSCSA since June 2002. Prior to her arrival at UTHSCSA, Dr. McDougle served as the director of residence life at St. Mary’s University. During her career, she has helped students be successful through new student orientation, leadership programming, peer mentoring, wellness and recreational sports, judicial affairs, and student organizations and events.

Dr. McDougle earned two undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration as well as a masters in Human Relations and Supervision, all from Louisiana Tech University. In December 2009 she earned her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Dr. McDougle has been active in professional and community organizations. She is currently the outgoing chair of the foundation board for the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators (TACUSPA). In October 2013 she will begin a term as President-Elect of TACUSPA. She has served as chair of the Alamo Area Council of Governments Regional Law Enforcement Academy Advisory Committee, served as a mentor at an elementary school, and been active with various community service events.
